Derivatives Trader

As a Derivatives Trader at Crypto.com, you join the Quant Trading team executing trades and managing risks across derivative products such as options, futures, and swaps. You identify and monetize trading opportunities, manage portfolio risk in real time, and contribute to the development of analytical tools that support quantitative trading decisions in complex, fast-paced markets.

What you'll do

• Identify and monetize trading opportunities across perpetual futures, options, and derivatives markets.
• Develop and execute strategies with a focus on capital efficiency and risk-adjusted returns.
• Monitor and manage portfolio performance, Greeks exposure (delta, gamma, vega, theta), and key risk metrics on a real-time basis.
• Contribute to the development of post-trade analytical tools and dashboards to enhance decision-making.
• Diagnose and resolve trading infrastructure issues in real time.
• Investigate strategy performance anomalies and execution problems, implementing corrective measures as needed.

What you bring

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 5–10 years of profitable trading experience on a leading trading desk within a bank, proprietary trading firm, or market-making environment, across any asset class.
• Demonstrable experience building, managing, and scaling derivative trading strategies.
• A strong understanding of derivatives pricing, hedging techniques, and risk management frameworks.
• Advanced quantitative, analytical, and alpha research skills with strong problem-solving ability, especially under time-sensitive conditions.
• Proficiency in Python and strong command of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong interest in and knowledge of both cryptocurrency and traditional asset classes.
• Self-motivation, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a high-stakes environment with significant responsibility.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across trading, risk, and technology teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional programming languages such as C++, R, or KDB+/Q.
• Prior experience trading crypto derivatives including perpetuals, options, and structured products.
• Experience with real-time risk systems and automated execution infrastructure.
