Amsterdam Trader Summer Internship 2027

Join Maven Securities as a Summer Trader Intern in Amsterdam. You'll spend nine weeks learning options market making through structured training, trading simulation, and direct exposure to our trading desks. The programme runs from 21st June to 20th August 2027, starting with three weeks of intensive options theory in our London office, then progressing to simulation and live market observation in Amsterdam.

What you'll do

• Build practical trading skills in the simulation environment, applying options theory to real market scenarios
• Use the same tools as our traders to observe trades being executed in the live market
• Learn directly from traders across different desks through shadowing and regular interaction
• Complete a dedicated Reading Week working independently on a project of your choosing

What you bring

• You are a penultimate-year undergraduate or master's student
• Strong numeracy skills and a solid understanding of probability and statistics
• A genuine interest in financial markets and curiosity to learn
• Willingness to adopt and utilise emerging AI technologies
• An entrepreneurial mindset and ability to generate ideas
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to learn quickly, respond to feedback and adapt to new situations
• Ability to synthesise complex information into clear, actionable insights
• Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with others
• Results-focused attitude and comfort taking ownership in uncertain situations
