Android Developer

As an Android Developer at CryptoMize, you build secure Android applications where encryption and hardening are foundational design choices, not add-ons. You join a team that treats the Android platform as a security surface first, shipping encrypted communication clients, hardened storage, and applications built to survive hostile-device assumptions. This is a full-time, permanent position based at the New Delhi HQ with immediate joining.

What you'll do

• Own Android application architecture and delivery across secure-product clients, from design review through release and production support
• Design and implement encrypted local storage and key-management patterns appropriate to hostile-device threat models
• Build and maintain communication layers that are TLS-hardened, certificate-pinned, and resilient against interception-class attacks
• Lead threat-modeling participation for mobile features, translating attack-surface findings into design corrections before code exists
• Own code-quality standards on the Android stack: review discipline, testing coverage, and obfuscation/reverse-engineering resistance using R8-class tooling
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and security testers so each release is presentable and pen-test-clean before it ships
• Mentor engineering interns and juniors on the mobile team

What you bring

• Advanced Kotlin and production-grade Java
• Deep Android SDK expertise including lifecycle internals, performance characteristics, and platform-security boundaries
• Mastery of modern Android architecture: Jetpack family, MVVM-class patterns, and modularization at scale
• Proficiency with Jetpack Compose and XML layout
• Fluency with encrypted-storage and Android Keystore patterns
• Network-security implementation skills: TLS pinning, secure websocket patterns, and certificate validation
• Understanding of reverse-engineering resistance techniques: R8/ProGuard, root detection, and integrity checking
• Leadership in testing: unit, instrumentation, and CI-integrated coverage
• Experience with release engineering: signing, staged rollout, and production crash triage
• Security-review judgment: the ability to read a mobile diff and identify attack surfaces
• Mentorship and code-review discipline
• Discretion with confidential product lines

Nice to have

• Advanced proficiency with Android Studio and its profiler tooling
• Experience with OkHttp/Retrofit including pinning and secure-transport patterns
• Track record with CI-based release pipelines and instrumentation testing
