APAC Community Lead (Contract)

As the APAC Community Lead at the Sui Foundation, you will cultivate and expand the Sui community across the Asia-Pacific region. You will develop and execute community programming and events, drive adoption, and foster a deep connection between Sui and its users. This is a contract role supporting a Layer 1 blockchain designed to enable creators and developers to build unique Web3 experiences from gaming to finance.

What you'll do

• Design, launch, and manage community initiatives and events that resonate with Sui's APAC audience, both virtual and in-person, to drive engagement and foster community connection
• Manage and grow regional community engagement across Discord, Telegram, Twitter, and forums, ensuring consistent communication and active participation
• Build and maintain relationships with key community members and builders, acting as the voice of the community within the Sui Foundation and integrating feedback into decision-making processes
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute high-quality content that educates, informs, and engages the community, and develop a content calendar to ensure consistency
• Leverage existing relationships with or strong familiarity with APAC-based crypto and trading communities
• Oversee moderation of community channels to ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive environment, addressing conflicts and issues proactively
• Use analytics to assess community health, optimize engagement strategies, and report key metrics to the leadership team

What you bring

• 3-5 years of experience in community management with a proven track record of launching and scaling community programs
• Native Mandarin speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
• Deep understanding of Web3 culture, including familiarity with blockchain technology, decentralized applications, and the unique dynamics of Web3 communities
• Experience planning and executing successful community events, both online and offline
• Ability to think strategically while being hands-on in execution, comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
• Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment, comfortable with ambiguity
• Strong ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering teams
• Proficiency in using community management tools, social media platforms, and data analytics tools
