Aprio PH - Accounting Associate (Crypto)

Join Aprio's Outsourcing team as an Accounting Associate and help clients maximize their opportunities in digital assets and blockchain technology. You will provide cutting-edge accounting solutions for crypto-focused clients, handling day-to-day bookkeeping, transaction analysis, and regulatory compliance for a fast-growing firm with 30 U.S. office locations, one in the Philippines, and more than 2,100 team members worldwide.

What you'll do

• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned clients
• Update bank accounts and crypto wallets via online feed
• Import bank, credit card, and crypto wallet transactions via manual feed
• Analyze and code bank, credit card, and cryptocurrency transactions
• Understand and record cryptocurrency transactions including buying, selling, swaps, and wrapping of digital assets in crypto accounting software
• Reconcile wallets to on-chain balances on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of records
• Process bills and receipts paid in fiat and cryptocurrency via third-party applications such as Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, or Dext
• Record monthly amortization and depreciation of client assets
• Record payroll journal entries via integrated payroll software or through manual transactions
• Perform month-end reconciliation in accounting software, update working papers, and post adjusting entries
• Prepare financial reports with trend analysis and cash runway as needed
• Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, laws, and regulations governing digital assets and ensure client compliance
• Self-review your work

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• At least 1 year of working experience in the BPO industry
• Experience using Xero and QuickBooks Online
• A general understanding of cryptocurrency or blockchain technology
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Nice to have

• Experience handling clients with cryptocurrency transactions
• A licensed CPA
