Aprio PH - Accounting Associate (Crypto)

Join Aprio's Outsourcing team as an Accounting Associate and help crypto-focused clients maximize their financial opportunities. You'll provide cutting-edge accounting solutions for clients working with digital assets and blockchain technology, handling day-to-day bookkeeping, transaction coding, and crypto wallet reconciliation.

What you'll do

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for assigned crypto clients
• Update bank accounts and crypto wallets via online feed, and import transactions via manual feed
• Analyze and code bank, credit card, and cryptocurrency transactions in crypto accounting software
• Understand cryptocurrency transactions including buying, selling, swaps, and wrapping of digital assets
• Reconcile wallets to on-chain balances monthly to maintain accuracy and completeness of records
• Process bills and receipts paid in fiat and cryptocurrency using third-party applications such as Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, or Dext
• Record monthly amortization and depreciation of client assets
• Record payroll journal entries via integrated payroll software or manual transaction posting
• During month-end closing, reconcile accounts in accounting software, update working papers, and post adjusting entries
• Prepare financial reports with trend analysis and cash runway depending on client needs
• Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, laws, and regulations governing digital assets to ensure client compliance
• Self-review your work

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• At least 1 year of working experience in the BPO industry
• Experience using Xero and QuickBooks Online
• A general understanding of cryptocurrency or blockchain technology
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Nice to have

• Experience handling clients with cryptocurrency transactions
• A licensed CPA credential
