Associate, Accounting (Mumbai)

As an Associate in Accounting at Galaxy, you support the month-end and quarter-end close process for a global leader in digital assets and data center infrastructure. You work across accounting functions including cash management, payroll, accounts payable, reconciliations, and consolidations, collaborating with finance teams and stakeholders on day-to-day operations and special projects.

What you'll do

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes, including daily cash, payroll, fixed assets, and prepaids
• Process accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and timely payment processing
• Prepare month-end reconciliations for corporate balances
• Assist with analyzing legal entity level results for service entities
• Assist in intercompany eliminations and consolidation procedures
• Work with counterparts in other departments to investigate, reconcile, and record correct entries
• Work with various stakeholders on projects including acquisitions and internal restructures
• Work closely with FP&A and SEC reporting teams on their requests and various initiatives
• Manage and respond to audit requests for various entities

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting role
• Familiarity with maintaining books and records of a bank or financial institution
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with datasets in Excel
• Flexibility to innovate and implement new procedures to improve processes and workflow
• An intellectually curious mindset, comfortable in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
• A strong appetite for problem solving in a high-growth business
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

• A college degree with a competitive GPA and demonstrated math or analytical ability
• The ability to multitask and contribute to several projects at once
• Experience working at a public accounting firm
• Experience with Netsuite
