As a Backend Crypto Engineer at Kraken, you join the Crypto team to help integrate Kraken's systems with an ever-expanding universe of cryptocurrencies and blockchains. Your focus is on protecting client funds by building systems that communicate with various blockchains to enable timely processing of client transactions, while ensuring the safety and security of all funds on the exchange.
What you'll do
- Integrate existing systems with exciting new blockchains
- Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, secure systems and data protection mechanisms
What you bring
- Generalist knowledge of layer-1 blockchain development
- Strong backend development experience, with proficiency in Typescript (Node.js) and/or Rust
- Deep understanding of cryptographic concepts and scalable design
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Temporal and GNU/Linux environments
- Proficiency in code versioning tools (Git) and experience with automated testing frameworks
- Passion for secure, privacy-focused blockchain solutions and a general interest in cryptocurrencies
- Resilience and adaptability in rapidly evolving technical landscapes

- Strong AI proficiency
