Backend Development Engineer

As a Backend Development Engineer at Bybit, you serve as a module owner for backend feature modules in the wealth management business. You design, develop, and maintain systems using Golang, working independently on technical solutions while collaborating with the team on system architecture and complex problem-solving.

What you'll do

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of backend feature modules for the wealth management business using Golang
• Independently complete technical solution design for business requirements and participate in system architecture discussions
• Design MySQL database schemas, write optimized SQL, and perform performance tuning to ensure system stability and data consistency
• Use middleware such as Redis and Kafka to develop cache strategies and handle asynchronous message processing
• Participate in system monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting to maintain production service stability
• Write high-quality technical documentation, participate in code reviews, and drive engineering quality improvements with the team

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Solid computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and computer networks
• Proficiency in at least one of: Golang, C++, Java, or Rust
• Familiarity with MySQL including index optimization, transaction isolation, and slow query analysis
• Familiarity with Redis cache design and common pitfalls
• Familiarity with message queues such as Kafka or RocketMQ
• Understanding of RPC frameworks such as gRPC or Thrift and microservice governance
• Familiarity with Linux operations and troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Git and understanding of CI/CD workflows

Nice to have

• Experience in finance or wealth management business development
• Distributed systems design experience
• Blockchain-related project development experience
• Proficiency with AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT
• A personal tech blog, GitHub open-source projects, or community contributions
• Overseas study or work experience
• Strong professional knowledge with proactive communication and clear articulation
• Ability to learn quickly and understand project requirements rapidly
• Strong sense of responsibility and excellent teamwork spirit
