Blockchain Developer

As a Blockchain Developer at AltPayNet, you will design, implement, and support a distributed blockchain-based network. You will analyze requirements, design blockchain technology solutions aligned with business models, and build and launch blockchain networks from the ground up.

What you'll do

• Research, design, develop, and test blockchain technologies
• Brainstorm and evaluate applications for new tools and technologies as they evolve
• Maintain and extend client-side and server-side applications responsible for integration and business logic
• Engage with the global blockchain community by implementing and integrating the latest improvement proposals
• Document new solutions and maintain documentation of existing ones
• Collaborate with your team to identify and fix technical problems
• Analyze users' and clients' needs to find appropriate applications and solutions
• Ensure software and applications assigned to you remain up to date
• Supervise modifications, fixes, integrations, and refinements to deployed systems
• Conduct security audits with the QA team to identify areas for improvement
• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating requirements, defining problems, and developing and implementing solutions
• Provide documentation including plans, procedures, guidelines, policies, flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and coding standards
• Develop system specifications, case studies, and gap analysis
• Conduct studies, testing, and recommendations on software and hardware licenses
• Stay current with development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment through continuous learning and professional engagement
• Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
• Participate in software release and post-release activities, including product launch support and competitive analysis
• Support testing efforts, including defining acceptance testing criteria and gathering feedback from pre-release testers

What you bring

• 4-5+ years of professional work experience in software development
• A degree in BS Computer Science, BS Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
• Solid programming skills including software design, coding, debugging, documentation, and testing
• Strong experience with software development and delivery best practices such as TDD and CI/CD
• Experience working with large codebases and open-source projects
• Strong knowledge of common algorithms and data structures
• Familiarity with basic cryptography and P2P networks
• Strong knowledge of bitcoin-like blockchains
• Strong knowledge of concurrency and the ability to write efficient and safe multithreaded code
• Proficiency in the Qt Widgets module
• Prior experience with payment and banking API integrations
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in one or more of these programming languages: Java, PHP, Javascript (React.JS), NodeJS
• Web development skills in HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Ajax, and JQuery
• Experience with databases including MSSQL, Oracle, and MySQL
• Database programming skills including SQL, stored procedures, and views
• Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring, Struts, Hibernate, and Qt Widgets
• Knowledge of markup languages including XML, JSON, and SOAP
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and MacOS platforms
• Familiarity with services such as Apache, Nginx, Apache Tomcat, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and mail services (SMTP/POP)
• Experience with Git version control
• Ability to collaborate with a team or lead a team to brainstorm and create new products
