Blockchain Developer

As a Blockchain Developer at Dabster, you design and develop enterprise-grade backend services and blockchain components for digital asset products. Working in London on a hybrid basis, you build scalable, resilient systems that integrate blockchain networks, manage smart contract interactions, and support wallet and asset transfer workflows, all aligned with banking standards.

What you'll do

• Design and develop enterprise-grade backend services using Java, building APIs and microservices that support digital asset products
• Implement blockchain-related business logic and workflows, including smart contract interactions, minting and burning processes, asset transfer flows, and wallet management capabilities
• Develop scalable and resilient systems aligned with banking standards, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and maintainability
• Build integrations with digital asset custody and wallet providers, and develop connectivity with blockchain infrastructure and third-party services
• Integrate external blockchain networks into client digital asset ecosystems and collaborate on SaaS blockchain platform implementation initiatives
• Follow secure coding and software engineering best practices, participate in architecture reviews and technical design discussions, and contribute to operational readiness and production support
• Work within cross-functional agile teams, partnering with Architects, DevOps Engineers, Security Specialists, Product Owners, and Blockchain Operations professionals
• Support technical mentoring and knowledge sharing across engineering teams

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, or architecture roles
• Strong stakeholder management experience across business and technology domains
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience working in Agile organizations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• Fluent English communication skills at C1 level or above
• Strong experience with Java (preferred), Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture
• Experience with event-driven architectures, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaging technologies, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based development workflows
• Good understanding of distributed systems, system integration, API design, and scalability patterns
