Blockchain Developer

As a Blockchain Architect at Tech Aalto, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing blockchain solutions across public and private domains. This is a 12-month contract role based in Melbourne, requiring deep expertise in blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and secure digital asset management, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Design and implement robust blockchain architectures for public platforms such as Ethereum and Polygon, and private networks such as Hyperledger and Corda, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
• Develop, test, and audit secure and efficient smart contracts tailored to specific business requirements, adhering to best practices and coding standards to mitigate vulnerabilities
• Architect secure custody frameworks for digital assets that comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices, including processes to manage private keys
• Design, develop, and maintain secure wallet management systems, including hot, warm, and cold storage solutions, and implement advanced security features
• Integrate blockchain solutions seamlessly with existing systems and platforms, collaborating with developers to ensure interoperability and functionality
• Stay abreast of blockchain trends, new protocols, and emerging technologies, and propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance blockchain capabilities
• Partner with cross-functional teams including developers, business stakeholders, and cybersecurity experts to ensure smooth implementation and alignment with organizational goals, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

What you bring

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience designing and implementing blockchain architectures for public and private domains
• Expertise in smart contract development, including Solidity, Vyper, or similar languages
• Strong knowledge of custody solutions and secure wallet management systems
• Experience integrating blockchain solutions with existing enterprise systems
• Familiarity with blockchain protocols, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic principles
• Hands-on experience with tools and platforms including Ethereum, Polygon, Hyperledger, and Corda
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have

• Certifications in blockchain technologies or related areas
• Experience in cybersecurity and regulatory compliance related to digital assets
• Knowledge of emerging blockchain trends and innovations
