As a Blockchain Investigator and Law Enforcement Liaison at Tether, you bridge advanced blockchain technology with law enforcement efforts. Your expertise in blockchain analytics will be vital in decrypting complex virtual currency transactions and assisting in the discovery and prevention of financial crimes. You'll convert complicated blockchain data into practical intelligence for law enforcement agencies while staying ahead of the latest trends in virtual currencies and blockchain technology.

What you'll do

• Employ state-of-the-art blockchain analytics tools to analyze virtual currency transactions, including tracing transaction histories, identifying patterns, and uncovering illicit activities within blockchain networks
• Act as a primary point of contact for law enforcement agencies, providing detailed, understandable reports and insights on blockchain activities to assist in criminal investigations
• Respond efficiently to incoming requests from law enforcement by gathering relevant data, conducting thorough analyses, and delivering timely and accurate information
• Enhance law enforcement's understanding of patterns and indicators of illicit activity on the blockchain
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in blockchain technology, virtual currency trends, and regulatory changes, and apply this knowledge to enhance analytical methods and tools
• Work closely with other departments, such as legal and compliance, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies

What you bring

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Management, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven experience with blockchain analytics, preferably Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic
• A deep and proven understanding of cryptocurrency transaction patterns and potential indicators of criminal activity
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into understandable terms for law enforcement personnel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
