Blockchain Security Researcher

You'll join StarkWare's Blockchain Security Research team doing offensive-minded security work on real money-moving infrastructure. This role is about breaking protocols before someone else does, and building the tooling and processes that keep them safe.

What you'll do

• Perform forensic analysis of transactions, logs, and contract behavior to understand attack paths
• Own the end-to-end security of on-chain protocols, including secure signing of on-chain transactions
• Hunt for vulnerabilities and exploits in protocols, smart contracts, and dApps
• Build detection and prevention tooling, and initiate your own research and products

What you bring

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a security-driven environment
• Solid security background in at least one of: exploit development, offensive security, vulnerability research, low-level networking, or cryptography
• The ability to dive into unfamiliar technology and systematically find where it breaks
• Comfortable coding in Python, C++, Rust, or similar languages
• Ability to thrive in high-stakes, fast-changing environments

Nice to have

• Blockchain security research background, including exploits, forensics, and protocol risk analysis
• Hands-on experience with Starknet, Ethereum, or other blockchain networks
• Web2 security or blue team experience

Note: You do not need formal blockchain experience. Self-taught work, CTF competitions, audit contests, side projects, and bug bounty history all count. Deep experience in adjacent high-stakes systems such as low-level systems, crypto/HSM, payments, exchange infrastructure, or fintech also counts, along with genuine interest in making the jump to blockchain. We'll invest in your ramp-up.
