Blockchain Smart Contract Engineering

As a Blockchain Smart Contract Engineer at Espritek, you design and develop the on-chain core of an institutional digital assets platform. You build secure, reusable smart contracts that comply with regulatory requirements and support the full workflow from token issuance through settlement across multiple financial instruments.

What you'll do

• Design the smart contract architecture to manage the issuance, lifecycle, ownership, transfers and settlement of digital assets
• Develop production-ready Solidity smart contracts compatible with EVM environments and permissioned blockchain models such as Hyperledger Besu and Canton
• Create reusable tokenisation components capable of supporting multiple financial instrument types and evolving with future products
• Implement ERC-20 contracts and relevant extensions with robust controls over access rights, supply and ownership rules
• Develop comprehensive property-based testing, invariant testing and fuzz testing suites covering nominal operation, edge cases and adversarial scenarios
• Conduct gas profiling, performance analysis and security reviews of smart contracts, documenting identified risks and mitigation measures
• Prepare code, documentation, test proofs and materials required for independent external security audits
• Address audit findings, validate fixes and maintain traceability of security and quality assurance actions
• Use AI in a controlled manner for initial code generation, refactoring, test generation and vulnerability triage, with systematic human review and validation
• Define and enforce strict prompt hygiene rules to prevent exposure of private keys, wallet addresses, confidential business logic or unaudited code to external AI services
• Produce technical documentation covering architecture, interfaces, deployment procedures, security assumptions, invariants and operational considerations
• Collaborate with product, legal, compliance, security and engineering teams to ensure a robust, maintainable solution aligned with institutional financial market requirements

What you bring

• Expert-level production experience developing Solidity smart contracts, ideally on complex and security-critical projects
• Strong mastery of EVM architectures, ERC-20 standards and extensions, including token rights management, ownership, supply, transfers and lifecycle
• Strong experience with fuzz testing, invariant testing, property-based testing, vulnerability analysis and gas profiling
• Proven track record preparing contracts for external security audits, processing findings and correcting identified vulnerabilities
• Familiarity with institutional blockchain, digital assets, tokenisation and regulated financial markets, with knowledge of permissioned blockchains such as Hyperledger Besu or Canton
• Ability to work collaboratively with product, security, legal and compliance teams in a regulated financial market environment
