Blockchain & Smart Contract Security , Vice President

As the Vice President of Blockchain & Smart Contract Security at State Street, you provide cyber risk management advisory services to the digital product line of business. You work closely with development teams and aligned cybersecurity peers to protect digital assets and blockchain systems by identifying vulnerabilities, designing security controls, evaluating third-party cyber controls, designing threat models, and implementing Crypto Currency Security Standards (CCSS). You serve as a strategic change agent and thought leader, assessing ways to strengthen the bank's cyber security resiliency aligned to digital products.

What you'll do

• Conduct cyber risk assessments at the application, platform, and system levels to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats.
• Design appropriate end-to-end cyber remediation solutions in collaboration with stakeholders to address identified risks.
• Oversee timely remediation of cyber issues aligned to digital product initiatives.
• Provide strong technical collaboration with application and platform owners.
• Offer expert guidance and recommendations to senior management on security matters, including risk mitigation solutions, new attack vectors and prevention strategies, and securing blockchain architecture and decentralized applications.
• Demonstrate strong technical expertise in at least three focus areas from Multi-Cloud, AI, Blockchain, Smart Contracts, and cryptography.
• Apply fundamental understanding of data structures and algorithms to security challenges.
• Provide strong technical knowledge in network security, product security, and data protection.
• Leverage strong conceptual understanding of public, private, consortium, and hybrid blockchain technologies.
• Apply good understanding of agile methodology, procedures, and iterative decision making.

What you bring

• At least 7 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, with 3 or more years within financial services.
• 2 or more years of operationally focused cybersecurity practice working with blockchain technologies.
• 2 or more years' experience working with business leadership across enterprise projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication, advisory skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and in teams, adaptability, and ethical judgment.
• Demonstrated strategic and tactical thinking, along with decision-making skills and business acumen.
• Strong knowledge of applied cryptography and secure architecture and design principles related to blockchain and smart contracts.
• Proven experience auditing and securing blockchain platforms and smart contracts-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and their mitigations in blockchain and smart contracts platforms.
• At least one professional certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Blockchain Security Professional (CBSP), or Certified AI Security Professional (CAISP).

Nice to have

• Secure programming experience in Python and Solidity.
• AWS or Azure Cloud Security knowledge.
