Boston City Host

As a Boston City Host at Base, you run in-person social events and gatherings in your city. You own the experience from setup to close, welcoming Members by name, holding the energy of the room, and ensuring every detail is perfect. The gathering is the product, and you are the person who makes it work.

What you'll do

• Own the room from open to close, setting the space with attention to lighting, music, place cards, and flow before Members arrive
• Welcome Members at the door by name and work the room with confidence to manage energy, handle transitions, and close with intention
• Run a full range of event formats including experiences, socials, new-member orientations, dinners, and seasonal events
• Hold the standard by catching and fixing details before anyone notices, from crooked chairs to dim corners to awkward transitions
• Tear down and leave the venue in better condition than you found it

What you bring

• Charisma and the ability to make people warm up to you quickly
• Comfort around accomplished adults and the confidence to belong in the room, not just work it
• Deep knowledge of your city's culture, venues, and neighborhoods
• Proven ability to lead and hold groups of 20 to 60 people
• Absolute reliability and the ability to show up prepared on a recurring schedule
• Obsessive attention to detail
• Genuine curiosity about people, with the ability to remember names, stories, and attendance
• Background in hospitality, fine dining, theater, private clubs, event production, weddings, restaurants, or similar environments where you have run rooms for discerning people

What we offer

• Pay of $25 per hour
• Flexible schedule focused on weekends and weeknights with a recurring rhythm
• Reimbursement for mileage, parking, and on-shift food per company policy
