
As a Business Analyst on the Service Operations – Web & Mobile and Crypto Team at Avaloq, you act as a key link between clients, service teams, and development organizations. You ensure stable platform operations and continuous improvement of Avaloq's software and products, analysing business requirements, investigating production incidents, and resolving service issues to keep business-critical applications running smoothly.
What you'll do
- Ensure the stable and efficient operation of Web & Mobile Banking and Crypto solutions and related third-party applications
- Analyse and consolidate client requirements, translating business needs into functional and technical specifications
- Manage incidents and service requests end-to-end, including triage, impact analysis, troubleshooting, coordination, and resolution
- Act as a trusted point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring effective communication
- Support the onboarding of new banking services into service delivery and operational support
- Support testing activities, including functional validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Contribute to the successful delivery of product enhancements and new functionalities
- Maintain clear documentation and actively promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team
What you bring
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, or significant experience in the banking or financial services industry with strong business analysis responsibilities
- High-level knowledge of web application infrastructure (DNS, firewall, Web application firewall)
- Knowledge of digital banking, mobile banking or web banking platforms
- Familiarity with digital onboarding, authentication, identity management, or security solutions
- Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge and experience in RDBMS, Oracle SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think conceptually about complex business challenges
- Competency in log analysis, using unix terminal or Elastic Search
- Excellent communication and client-orientation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
- A self-motivated, proactive, and organized working approach with a demonstrated passion for continuous learning
- Full professional fluency in English (written and verbal)
Nice to have
- Experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or Application Support roles
- Strong understanding of production environments, monitoring, and incident management processes
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency, digital assets, custody, trading, or blockchain-related solutions
- Knowledge of payment flows, settlement, cut-off, and currencies
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation practices
- Knowledge of web and mobile architectures (APIs, frontend/backend interactions)
- High proficiency with Jenkins pipelines, Gradle, Artifactory, Python, Groovy, Linux and Bash
- Experience in one or more high-level programming language
- Knowledge of Ergon Product Suite
- Knowledge of Avaloq Core ASM and ABR/s with certification
- Full professional fluency in German
