Join Jump Trading as a Campus Quantitative Researcher intern and contribute to a blend of three roles-quant researcher, data scientist, trader, and software developer-based on your skills and interests. Over 10 weeks, you will begin with intensive training in trading, programming, and quantitative research delivered by experienced quants, traders, and developers, then rotate through trading teams and research projects with direct mentorship. You will help build predictive models using one of the world's largest supercomputers and devise automated trading strategies to test against global competition.
Note: Candidates should be interested in working in Hong Kong or Shanghai for their full-time role after graduation.
What you'll do
- Complete an initial 10-week training program covering trading mechanics, programming, and quantitative research through in-house courses and trading simulations
- Rotate with trading teams and on research projects under mentorship from experienced quants and traders
- Build predictive models from large datasets using advanced computational resources
- Develop and test automated trading strategies in live markets
What you bring
- Strong analytical skills and an uncommon drive to learn and improve
- Solid foundation in programming and/or quantitative analysis (statistics, data mining, mathematics, machine learning)
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a top undergraduate or graduate program
- Reliable and predictable availability for the 10-week internship
- No prior finance or trading knowledge required
Nice to have
- Training in Computer Science or Mathematics
- Background in technical disciplines such as Physics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Neuroscience, Materials Science, or Operations Research
