As a Channel Partnership Manager at OSL Retail Services, you own and grow payment partnerships across Africa. You will build and manage relationships with local payment service providers, banks, and FX liquidity providers to enable seamless collection and payout capabilities for OSL Pay and BizPay. You work closely with legal, compliance, product, and business development teams to launch and optimize local payment channels that move value efficiently using stablecoins and crypto.
What you'll do
- Identify, vet, and onboard local payment service providers, banking partners, and FX liquidity providers across Africa
- Lead contract negotiations covering pricing, terms, service levels, and compliance requirements
- Ensure competitive foreign exchange rates and reliable liquidity for local currency pairs by managing relationships with FX providers and leveraging stablecoin rails
- Partner with legal and compliance to ensure all payment channels meet local regulations
- Work with product and operations teams to integrate new payment solutions, reduce friction, and optimize transaction success rates
- Stay ahead of local market developments, including new payment service provider entrants, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape in African fintech and crypto
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or crypto with a strong focus on African markets, with Nigeria as a must
- Established relationships with local payment service providers, banks, and/or FX providers in the region, with familiarity of key players across major hubs such as Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya
- Solid understanding of local payment methods including mobile money, bank transfers, direct debit, and how they interact with crypto and stablecoin flows
- Experience sourcing competitive FX rates, managing currency risk, or working with liquidity providers in emerging markets
- Knowledge of local payment and crypto regulations across key African jurisdictions, and how to structure partnerships to remain compliant
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage supplier costs, and drive measurable business outcomes
- Understanding of stablecoins, cross-border crypto payments, and the unique challenges crypto companies face when working with traditional financial partners
- Fluency in English

- Fluency in French, Portuguese, or key regional languages such as Swahili or Arabic
