Chinese Translator

CryptoMize is hiring Chinese Translators in Delhi on a rolling basis for a full-time, permanent position with immediate joining at the New Delhi HQ. You will own the Chinese-language layer of live client engagements, translating English to Chinese and Chinese to English at client grade across dossiers, intelligence reports, campaign material, and web content. You work across CryptoMize's 18-country footprint, handling both Simplified script for mainland-facing work and Traditional script where the engagement demands it.

What you'll do

• Hold final sign-off on the Chinese layer of three to four concurrent engagements, including dossiers, filings, and campaign briefs
• Re-base numbers that betray converted text, ensuring Chinese scale systems (万 and 亿) map correctly to English figures without rounding errors
• Rule on script strategy per audience (Simplified for mainland, Traditional for Hong Kong, Taiwan, and diaspora readers) and maintain consistency across each document set
• Keep institutional renderings pinned across all work, resolving politburo titles, ministry names, and honorific forms once and applying them without drift for the life of each engagement
• Draft original statements in Chinese when the message must be born in the language, then defend the phrasing in strategist review
• Audit machine translation output for classifier and measure-word choices, transliteration of foreign names, and client-grade errors
• Arbitrate mainland versus overseas coinage splits, where the same institution names itself differently by market and your rendering encodes the choice
• Mentor a bench of two to four interns, with their markup becoming the team's teaching record

• Bidirectional Mandarin Chinese at institutional grade and English at native working level
• Scale-word and figure re-basing discipline across the Chinese numbering system
• Script-strategy judgment to assign Simplified and Traditional correctly per readership

• Capability to draft original statements in Chinese for principal-facing material

Nice to have

• Experience with SDL Trados-class CAT environments and translation-memory governance
• Familiarity with Chinese keyword-research and SEO tooling
• CMS workflow experience for Chinese-language properties
• Track record with terminology-management and QA utilities
