Cloud Security Engineer

As a Cloud Security Engineer at Sky Mavis, you drive the security of our cloud infrastructure and enable our engineering team to provision services securely for Axie Infinity and Ronin. You work within the Security team that spans Web2 and Web3 across our games, digital assets, and the Ronin blockchain network, working alongside security professionals with backgrounds at companies like Coinbase, Circle, JP Morgan Chase, Microsoft, and Amazon. This role is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and you'll have the opportunity to leverage AI and automation to enhance security best practices at scale.

What you'll do

• Learn, build, improve, and maintain cloud provisioning services written in Terraform. Perform internal and external assessments of Sky Mavis' cloud infrastructure to identify gaps in security coverage and potential vulnerabilities.
• Ensure logging of all resources and continuously monitor the infrastructure. Leverage GenAI to automate scanning and filtering of security alerts to reduce false positives.
• Maintain and update runbooks of procedures for handling and escalating security incidents.
• Identify and evaluate new security technologies and tooling to adopt internally and continuously improve Sky Mavis' security posture.
• Work with engineering and growth teams to deliver on product initiatives and drive positive security change across the organisation.

What you bring

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience. You have designed, built, scaled, and maintained backend services and infrastructure.
• Hands-on expertise in cloud security, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and HMS.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to build trust across diverse teams.
• A bias for action, driven mindset, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying and hosting blockchain nodes.
• Python scripting skills.
• Gaming background or active participation in the crypto space.
• Involvement in hackathons.
