Compliance Crypto-Asset Senior Specialist

As a Compliance Crypto-Asset Senior Specialist at Intesa Sanpaolo, you will oversee regulatory requirements for digital asset activities within the Crypto-Asset structure of Compliance Financial Markets and Investment Banking. You will support business divisions' initiatives and help identify applicable regulatory requirements and define necessary governance, control, and monitoring solutions.

What you'll do

• Monitor and interpret the evolution of national and European regulatory frameworks applicable to digital assets, with particular attention to MiCAR, the DLT Pilot Regime, and the Decreto Fintech
• Analyse the evolution of digital asset markets in terms of instruments, venues, and technologies, assessing their regulatory and compliance impacts
• Provide specialist advice on innovative projects, identifying applicable regulatory requirements and contributing to the definition of operational, organisational, and control safeguards to ensure regulatory compliance
• Lead regulatory analysis and gap assessment activities
• Collaborate with Process Owners and Control Owners to define and revise operational processes and first-level controls, and contribute to the design and strengthening of second-level controls
• Prepare specialist opinions and analysis on regulatory and compliance matters
• Manage engagement with competent authorities, supporting the handling of information requests, inspections, and authorisation activities
• Contribute to the evolution of the company's compliance framework by promoting the adoption of market best practices and integrating regulatory requirements into business processes

What you bring

• Professional experience of 3-5 years in Compliance, Legal, Risk Management, or Internal Control roles at financial intermediaries, fintech companies, or crypto-asset operators (CASP or former VASP)
• Solid knowledge of regulations applicable to crypto-assets and digital financial instruments, particularly MiCAR, the DLT Pilot Regime, Decreto Fintech, and major European regulatory developments
• Experience managing regulatory projects, conducting regulatory impact analysis, and defining processes and controls
• Degree in Economics, Law, Engineering, or related disciplines; specialisation in Crypto Assets, Digital Assets, or Blockchain is preferred
• Interest in digital innovation, blockchain technology, and the evolution of financial markets
• Strong ability to work independently while managing multiple complex compliance and project initiatives simultaneously
• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
