Compliance Lead - Stablecoin Fintech

As a Compliance Lead at Merge, you support regulatory compliance across the company's EMI and CASP activities. You bring hands-on fintech compliance experience and a fit and proper assessment from the ACPR/AMF or equivalent, and you'll own the compliance function end-to-end as Merge scales its stablecoin payments infrastructure globally.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain the firm's AML/CFT framework, policies, and procedures proportionate to the CASP's business model and risk profile
• Manage STR/SAR reporting and regulatory filings with relevant authorities such as TRACFIN
• Liaise with regulators, auditors, banking partners, and external stakeholders
• Oversee compliance policies, controls, governance, and risk assessments for CASP operations
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure ongoing compliance with MiCA and AML requirements
• Support internal teams with compliance guidance, training, and regulatory best practices

What you bring

• Strong understanding of MiCA and CASP regulations
• Experience with EU regulation
• A track record in start-up fintech, an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), a CASP, or equivalent
• Fit and proper assessment passed with the ACPR/AMF or equivalent
• Practical experience with crypto-asset business models and blockchain-related AML risks
• The ability to own the compliance function end-to-end

Nice to have

• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and travel rule tools
