As a Senior Cryptoassets Advisor in the Strategy, Data and Performance team at National Bank of Canada's Capital Markets division, you serve as the expert reference on cryptoassets within Capital Markets Operations. You drive concrete impact on the development of new market capabilities by applying your expertise in digital assets, operational models, and regulated environments.

What you'll do

• Act as the go-to cryptoassets expert to guide strategic, operational, and regulatory decisions related to business capability development
• Design and evolve the end-to-end operational model by integrating business, risk, compliance, and control requirements
• Define the integration of digital assets across the transaction lifecycle, including trading, financing, custody, settlement, reconciliations, and exception management
• Develop and strengthen operational controls for on-chain and off-chain activities to support rigorous risk management of cryptoassets
• Collaborate with trading, risk, compliance, finance, technology teams and external partners to support new institutional use cases
• Contribute to the evolution of daily operations, continuous process improvement, and the development of internal knowledge in a rapidly growing sector

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Significant experience in the cryptoassets ecosystem gained within a financial institution, exchange platform, custodian, fintech company, or infrastructure provider
• Mastery of digital asset markets and processes related to trading, asset custody, settlement, reconciliations, and market events
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing operational models, processes, and controls in complex or regulated environments
• An understanding of blockchain infrastructure and its integration in an institutional context
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and control practices applicable to financial markets
• Fluency in French and English, with frequent communication with partners and suppliers in both languages
