Crypto AML Manager

As a Crypto AML Manager at Apple Leisure Group, now part of Hyatt, you oversee anti-money laundering and compliance activities related to cryptocurrency and digital asset transactions. You work fully remote, monitoring transactional data for suspicious activity, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining AML frameworks tailored to crypto operations across a growing portfolio of hospitality and travel-related businesses.

What you'll do

• Monitor and analyze transactional data for suspicious activity and develop evidence-based conclusions on potential AML risks
• Conduct risk assessments and maintain AML frameworks tailored to crypto operations
• Develop and update policies and procedures to align with evolving regulations
• Prepare internal reports and support audits and regulatory reviews
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure controls are effective
• Provide guidance on new crypto products or partnerships
• Lead investigations and remediation efforts when potential AML issues are identified

What you bring

• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex transactional data, identify patterns, and draw evidence-based conclusions
• Knowledge of finance and financial services, particularly in relation to digital assets, payments, and compliance within regulated environments
• Experience in accounting and auditing, with a focus on controls testing, documentation, and review of financial and compliance processes
• Background in AML, compliance, or risk management within crypto or traditional financial institutions, including familiarity with KYC, CDD, and sanctions screening
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders
• A solid understanding of global and regional AML regulations and guidance, and interest in staying current with evolving crypto regulatory frameworks
