Crypto Operations Associate - APAC

As a Crypto Operations Associate at Alpaca, you'll join the Crypto team-a 100% distributed and remote group-reporting directly to the Global Director of Crypto Operations. You'll take on daily operational responsibilities for a US-headquartered global leader in agent-first brokerage infrastructure serving hundreds of financial institutions across 40 countries with over 10 million brokerage accounts.

What you'll do

• Monitor and conduct surveillance of all customer activity on a daily basis
• Manage daily operational tasks including trading, new accounts, and cash management functions
• Execute cryptocurrency trading orders and handle exceptions such as errors and corrections
• Assist with customer onboarding, including KYC verification and account approval
• Review general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and reconcile accounts
• Support the Anti-Money Laundering Program and investigations stemming from suspected suspicious activity
• Drive impactful changes across workflows, policies, and tools
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external partners
• Complete ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

What you bring

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer, financial services, trading, or cryptocurrency operations role
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, or a strong desire to learn
• The ability to work effectively and supportively within a team as well as independently
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment
• Ownership of new responsibilities and enthusiasm for tackling challenges
• Alignment with Alpaca's mission and enthusiasm for supporting customers and growing the platform
