Crypto Operations Associate - APAC

As a Crypto Operations Associate at Alpaca, you support the crypto team of a US-headquartered self-clearing broker-dealer serving hundreds of financial institutions across 40 countries. You report directly to the Global Director of Crypto Operations and join a 100% distributed, remote team responsible for daily monitoring, surveillance, and operational execution of customer crypto activity.

What you'll do

• Monitor and surveil all customer activity on a daily basis
• Execute daily operational tasks including trading, new account setup, and cash management functions
• Handle cryptocurrency trading executions and exceptions such as errors and corrections
• Assist with customer onboarding, including KYC and account approval
• Review general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and reconcile accounts
• Support the Anti-Money Laundering Program and investigations resulting from suspected suspicious activity
• Proactively drive impactful changes across workflows, policies, and tools
• Communicate clearly with internal and external partners in a tactical and insightful manner
• Take on ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

What you bring

• 3 or more years of relevant experience in a broker-dealer, financial services, trading, or cryptocurrency operations role
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency, or a strong desire to learn
• The ability to work effectively and supportively within a team as well as independently
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and regulatory environment
• A willingness to take ownership of new responsibilities and embrace challenges
