Crypto Operations Associate - EMEA Coverage

As a Crypto Operations Associate supporting EMEA coverage at Alpaca, you'll join a global leader in agent-first brokerage infrastructure serving hundreds of financial institutions across 40 countries. You'll take ownership of daily cryptocurrency operations, customer monitoring, and compliance tasks that keep Alpaca's institutional-grade platform running smoothly for over 10 million brokerage accounts.

What you'll do

• Monitor and surveil all customer activity on a daily basis
• Execute cryptocurrency trading operations and handle exceptions such as errors and corrections
• Manage daily operational tasks including trading, new account setup, and cash management functions
• Assist with customer onboarding, including KYC verification and account approval
• Review general ledger accounts, identify discrepancies, and reconcile as needed
• Support the Anti-Money Laundering Program and investigations arising from suspected suspicious activity
• Drive impactful changes across workflows, policies, and tools
• Communicate clearly with internal and external partners in a tactical and insightful manner
• Execute ad hoc duties and projects as assigned

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience in broker-dealer, financial services, trading, or cryptocurrency operations
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Familiarity with cryptocurrency or a strong desire to learn
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business and regulatory requirements
• Ownership mindset and enthusiasm for tackling new responsibilities
