Crypto & OSINT Researcher (Chinese Speaking)

As a Junior Web3 Researcher at Nominis, you will research, investigate, and write about the latest trends and challenges in the Web3 ecosystem. You'll explore compliance, security, and incidents within blockchain and decentralized technology, with a particular focus on Chinese-language sources and communities. Your fluency in Mandarin Chinese will be essential as you bridge Western and Chinese-speaking crypto communities.

What you'll do

• Conduct thorough research on Web3 technologies, trends, and developments
• Investigate and analyze compliance, security issues, and incidents related to blockchain using OSINT (open-source intelligence) methods
• Monitor and research Chinese-language platforms and apps including WeChat, Weibo, Chinese crypto forums, and Telegram groups for relevant developments, actors, and incidents
• Write insightful and engaging articles, reports, and whitepapers in English based on findings from both English and Chinese-language sources
• Collaborate with senior researchers and team members to support ongoing projects
• Stay updated on the latest industry news and regulatory changes in both global and Chinese-speaking crypto markets

What you bring

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (reading) and English
• Comfort navigating and researching within Chinese native apps and platforms including WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, and Chinese-language forums
• Strong interest and understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and Web3 technologies
• Excellent research and analytical skills with OSINT experience, attention to detail, and source verification
• Ability to write clear, concise, and well-structured articles in English
• Self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and ability to work independently

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of compliance and security within the blockchain space
