Crypto Product Compliance Lead

As a Crypto Product Compliance Lead at Robinhood, you will support the development and enhancement of crypto products and services. You lead initiatives responsible for reviewing product designs, customer communications, and operational processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and firm policies. You advise teams throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation through launch and post-launch enhancements, working closely with Product, Legal, Risk, and Operations partners on regulatory reviews and business initiatives.

What you'll do

• Partner with Product teams and business partners including Legal, Risk, and Operations during the design, testing, launch, and enhancement of crypto products and services.
• Advise on regulatory requirements and operational processes related to crypto products, including consumer protection, AML, sanctions, and financial crimes compliance considerations.
• Develop appropriate compliance frameworks for new products.
• Review product features, customer communications, and marketing materials to support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and firm policies.
• Provide timely guidance to business partners on compliance questions, regulatory developments, and product-related issues.
• Support regulatory examinations, inquiries, filings, and internal compliance reviews, including developing and executing compliance testing and monitoring related to Robinhood Crypto products.

What you bring

• 7+ years of experience in financial services, including experience supporting crypto products within compliance, risk, legal, audit, or operations functions.
• Experience with brokerage products.
• Awareness of anti-money laundering, sanctions, and financial crimes compliance requirements related to crypto products.
• Experience advising on consumer protection requirements.
• Experience advising on DeFi projects.
• A strong understanding of MiFID requirements.
• Ability to manage projects and coordinate work across technical and non-technical teams in a regulated environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting compliance guidance to business partners and leadership teams.
• Passion for democratizing finance and interest in crypto products and financial technology.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with global crypto regulatory frameworks, including MiCA.
• Familiarity with traditional brokerage operations.

• Base pay of $141,000-$165,000 USD (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Washington, DC), $124,000-$145,000 USD (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL), or $110,000-$129,000 USD (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL), depending on location and job-related factors.
