You report directly on market developments, pressure-test ideas with data, and turn raw market noise into clear, actionable insight that influences the quality and tradability of everything published. This is a remote-first role based anywhere in the world, aligned to South African Standard Time (SAST), requiring you to research outside traditional hours given the 24/7 nature of crypto markets.

What you'll do

• Track global events and cryptocurrency trends around the clock, staying informed on macroeconomic shifts and how they influence market movements
• Critically assess new trends, emerging narratives and trade ideas using a logical, data-driven approach, developing a deep understanding of current market conditions and key news stories
• Conduct sentiment analysis across platforms to understand overall market sentiment and engage actively with communities, offering insights on usability and potential
• Identify the key question or topic of the day and work as part of the team to curate and design the daily script, documentation and narrative for each show, ensuring quality and professionalism
• Source and deliver actionable, tradable information that community members can use to make informed decisions, contributing research, trade setups and commentary directly to Discord threads

What you bring

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a crypto research-focused role with deep understanding of cryptocurrency markets, narratives and culture
• A logical, data-driven approach to assessing trends, narratives and trade ideas, with the discipline to separate signal from noise
• Ability to connect macroeconomic developments to crypto market movements and explain their relevance
• Experience analysing sentiment across social platforms and communities to gauge market attention
• Skill in turning complex research into clear, concise scripts, documentation and narratives suited to a live audience
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, 24/7 environment with the flexibility to adjust your hours around market activity
• Genuine curiosity and active engagement in the crypto community
• Self-starting, proactive mindset with the ability to own your research agenda independently
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced setting
