As a Crypto Researcher at Crypto Banter, you sit at the heart of our daily content, owning the research that shapes what we say on air and the trade ideas we put in front of our community of over 10M monthly viewers. Your work directly influences the quality, credibility and tradability of everything we publish. This is a remote-first, commercially accountable role aligned to South African Standard Time, and you will need to be comfortable researching outside traditional hours to stay ahead of market developments.

What you'll do

• Track global events and macroeconomic shifts that could impact cryptocurrency markets around the clock, staying informed outside standard hours to stay ahead of potential developments
• Critically assess new trends, emerging narratives and trade ideas using a logical, data-driven approach, developing a deep understanding of current market conditions and key news stories
• Conduct sentiment analysis across social platforms and communities to understand overall market sentiment and engage actively with various platforms, offering insights on their usability and potential
• Identify the key question or topic of the day and work with the team to curate and design the daily script, documentation and narrative for each show, ensuring quality and professionalism
• Deliver actionable, tradable information that community members can use to make informed decisions, contributing research, trade setups and commentary directly to Discord threads

What you bring

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a crypto research-focused role, with deep fluency in cryptocurrency markets, narratives and culture
• A logical, data-driven approach to assessing trends, narratives and trade ideas, with the discipline to separate signal from noise
• Comfort connecting macroeconomic developments to crypto market movements and explaining why they matter
• Experience analysing sentiment across social platforms and communities to gauge where market attention sits
• Ability to turn complex research into clear, concise scripts, documentation and narratives suited to a live audience
• Comfort thriving in a fast-moving, 24/7 environment and flexibility to adjust your hours around the market
• Genuine curiosity plugged into the crypto community and wider conversation, with a self-starting, proactive approach to owning your own research agenda
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and take pride in the quality of what goes out the door
