Crypto Risk & Portfolio Specialist

As a Crypto Risk & Portfolio Specialist at Webypto, you support digital-asset research, portfolio intelligence, and risk analysis initiatives across cryptocurrency markets and Web3 ecosystems. This role combines crypto market research, portfolio risk assessment, investment intelligence, and blockchain analysis to evaluate opportunities, identify potential risks, and develop structured insights across digital-asset portfolios and emerging Web3 projects.

What you'll do

• Research cryptocurrency markets, blockchain projects, protocols, tokens, and emerging Web3 investment opportunities
• Analyze Bitcoin, Ethereum, stablecoins, DeFi, Layer 1 and Layer 2 ecosystems, tokenized assets, and other digital-asset sectors
• Monitor portfolio exposure, concentration, diversification, liquidity, volatility, correlations, and drawdowns
• Develop crypto portfolio risk frameworks covering market, liquidity, counterparty, operational, technology, and protocol risks
• Evaluate crypto projects based on business models, tokenomics, technology, adoption, competitive positioning, and ecosystem strength
• Monitor market cycles, capital flows, liquidity conditions, investor sentiment, and major crypto market developments
• Conduct fundamental, quantitative, technical, and on-chain research to support portfolio and investment analysis
• Analyze tokenomics, token supply structures, vesting schedules, emissions, incentives, and potential market-impact factors
• Assess risks associated with smart contracts, DeFi protocols, bridges, custodians, exchanges, wallets, and decentralized applications
• Support due diligence on blockchain startups, crypto projects, tokens, and potential Webypto ecosystem opportunities
• Develop portfolio dashboards, risk reports, market intelligence briefs, and research presentations
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify changes in exposure, volatility, liquidity, and market conditions
• Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing for different crypto market environments
• Track regulatory, technological, macroeconomic, and competitive developments affecting digital assets
• Collaborate with Web3, investment, launchpad, community, and business development teams
• Translate complex blockchain and market-risk information into clear and actionable research insights

What you bring

• 2+ years of experience in risk analysis, portfolio analysis, investment research, financial markets, fintech, crypto, blockchain, or a related field
• Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, digital assets, and Web3 ecosystems
• Knowledge of portfolio construction, diversification, asset allocation, market risk, liquidity risk, and investment analysis
• Familiarity with DeFi, Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks, stablecoins, tokenomics, staking, token launches, and decentralized applications
• Experience analyzing volatility, drawdowns, correlations, concentration, liquidity, and portfolio exposure
• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to evaluate crypto projects and digital-asset opportunities
• Experience with Excel, financial modeling, dashboards, or analytical platforms
• Strong understanding of crypto market structure, exchanges, liquidity, and digital-asset trading environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, remote Web3 environment

Nice to have

• Familiarity with on-chain analytics and blockchain data
• Experience with Python or SQL
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• CFA, FRM, CAIA, blockchain, or Web3-related certifications

What we offer

• Salary of $135,000-$155,000 USD per year, depending on experience, expertise, and qualifications
