Cryptography Systems Engineer

A leading defense organization in the Shfela area is seeking a Cryptography Systems Engineer to join a specialized team developing advanced protection capabilities for complex systems. The role sits at the intersection of systems engineering, cryptography, cybersecurity, and embedded systems, with responsibility for designing cryptographic architectures, defining protection mechanisms and protocols, and leading the integration of cryptographic solutions into multidisciplinary systems.

What you'll do

• Design cryptographic architectures for complex system protection
• Evaluate and select cryptographic algorithms and define secure protocols
• Lead the development and implementation of cryptographic solutions and models
• Evaluate and prepare solutions for the Post-Quantum Cryptography era
• Define system protection architecture and perform detailed system design
• Advise engineering teams on the secure implementation and integration of cryptographic capabilities
• Collaborate with Software, Hardware, Embedded, Systems, and Cybersecurity teams
• Write system requirements, design documents, procedures, and test documentation
• Research emerging trends in Cryptography and Cybersecurity and evaluate new technologies for implementation

What you bring

• A B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant scientific field
• Professional knowledge of Cryptography
• Experience in Systems Engineering for multidisciplinary systems and/or Embedded Software/Hardware development
• Professional experience or significant training in Cybersecurity
• Strong systems-level thinking and ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines

Nice to have

• Professional or military experience in specialized cryptography-related units
• An M.Sc. in an Engineering or Scientific field
• Knowledge of Communication Protocols and Network Security
• Professional Cybersecurity training or certifications
• Familiarity with Post-Quantum Cryptography
