Cybersecurity Expert – Cryptography | Senior

As a Cybersecurity Expert specialising in Cryptography at Smart Consulting, you will join a reference project in the banking sector, focusing on cryptography, encryption at rest, key management, and data security. You bring senior-level expertise in cybersecurity with a deep specialisation in cryptography to support different entities in implementing and evolving their security strategies.

What you'll do

• Define security requirements and strategies related to cryptography and data security
• Support different entities in implementing security measures
• Analyse and evaluate security risks, identifying impacts and proposing countermeasures
• Assess the robustness of security designs, data protection mechanisms, and cryptographic keys
• Guide projects toward the most appropriate data protection techniques, considering cryptography, anonymization, and masking
• Participate in Proofs of Concept for cybersecurity solutions
• Develop and validate risk analyses
• Contribute to strategies for Cryptographic Asset Inventory and Crypto-Agility
• Monitor technological trends and share knowledge with the team
• Promote awareness and evolution of cybersecurity practices within the organisation
• Collaborate closely with international teams and different stakeholders

What you bring

• Senior-level professional experience in cybersecurity with specialisation in cryptography
• Solid knowledge of Encryption at Rest and Key Management
• Experience in IT Risk Management and cybersecurity
• Ability to define security requirements and cryptography strategies
• Experience analysing and evaluating security risks, impacts, and mitigation measures
• Knowledge of data protection mechanisms, cryptographic keys, and security design
• Ability to evaluate different data protection techniques including cryptography, anonymization, and data masking
• Experience conducting or participating in Technical POCs for security solutions
• Ability to track technological trends and contribute to the evolution of the cybersecurity community
• Fluent or advanced English (required)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Cryptographic Asset Inventory and Crypto-Agility

What we offer

• Salary of 20,000 to 49,000 euros gross per year (14 months) plus meal allowance and flexible benefits
• Position based in Lisbon or Porto
