Data Security Engineering - Crypto Engineer

As a Data Security Engineering Crypto Engineer at UOB Innovation Hub 2, you will support the Bank's data security and cryptographic infrastructure. You join a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia that provides Group Business Services to the UOB Group, working on initiatives that span the region and contribute to the Bank's growth ambition.

What you'll do

• Apply practical experience in data encryption, key management, and cryptographic technologies to secure banking systems
• Support SSL activities including CSR generation, certificate issuance, and certificate injection
• Support issuance and revocation of certificates for macOS and other systems
• Work with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), key management systems, and data protection solutions
• Implement and maintain security protocols such as TLS and SSH
• Respond to security administration activities, including work during weekends or outside standard hours as needed

What you bring

• A Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or Cyber Security from a recognized institution
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in cryptography and Java
• Proficiency in cryptographic principles, digital certificates, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) standards
• Familiarity with security protocols such as TLS and SSH
• Knowledge of various operating systems and file systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Process-oriented and organized approach to work
• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, including technical writing ability
• Team collaboration skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships across all organizational levels, internally and with external vendors
