As a Senior Blockchain-DAML Developer at EY, you design, develop, and maintain Canton-based applications using DAML. You bring significant full-stack and blockchain experience to work with clients and teams globally, combining technical depth in DAML or Ethereum with the ability to architect scalable solutions across dev, test, and production environments.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Canton-based applications using DAML
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging in a DAML-based platform
• Design and implement DAML models and workflows
• Connect applications to environments, manage day-to-day configuration and operational troubleshooting across dev/test/prod
• Implement integrations using ledger-facing APIs such as JSON API or gRPC-based APIs
• Develop scalable, fast, robust and simple web-based solutions to solve complex business problems
• Provide technical direction for development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition through implementation
• Keep up to date on emerging capabilities in the open source area and identify where and how new capabilities can be applied
• Work closely with Product Management to plan and negotiate iterative development cycles in an Agile environment
• Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently and with greater reusability
• Contribute to EY's internal knowledge base on best practices in this technology area
• Complete assigned tasks on time and provide regular status reporting
• Manage team members to ensure tasks are completed on time
• Demonstrate a keen sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize problems, analyze and resolve issues

What you bring

• 6 to 10 years of experience in web application development with at least 2 years in blockchain development
• Experience programming with object-oriented and/or declarative languages
• Strong experience in blockchain, specifically Ethereum or Canton (Canton preferred)
• Strong experience writing smart contracts in Solidity or DAML (DAML preferred)
• Experience in Scala, Clojure, or Elm
• Basic working knowledge of Canton concepts such as participants, domains, and onboarding/party setup
• Expertise in writing end-to-end test coverage for DAML contracts
• Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and message queuing systems
• Skills in writing end-to-end integration with external signatures
• Experience troubleshooting DAML applications
• Proven ability to scale up on new technologies
• Experience developing REST services
• Highly experienced with back-end programming languages such as Node.js
• Experience developing web-based solutions using HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
• Experience using modern software configuration management tools in an automated build environment such as Git or Azure DevOps
• Azure or AWS knowledge required
• Agile development experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lead a team
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
