As a Senior Blockchain-DAML Developer at EY, you design, develop, and maintain Canton-based applications using DAML. What you'll do

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Canton-based applications using DAML
• Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging in a DAML-based platform
• Design and implement DAML models and workflows
• Connect applications to environments, manage day-to-day configuration and operational troubleshooting across dev, test, and production
• Implement integrations using ledger-facing APIs such as JSON API or gRPC-based APIs
• Develop scalable, fast, robust and simple web-based solutions to solve complex business problems
• Provide technical direction for development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition through implementation
• Keep up to date on emerging capabilities in open source areas and identify where new capabilities can be applied
• Work closely with Product Management to plan and negotiate iterative development cycles in an Agile environment
• Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently and with greater reusability
• Contribute to EY's internal knowledge base on best practices in blockchain and full-stack technology
• Complete assigned tasks on time and provide regular status reporting to leadership
• Manage team members to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
• Demonstrate urgency and ability to prioritize problems, analyze and resolve issues

What you bring

• 6 to 10 years of experience in web application development with at least 2 years in blockchain development
• Experience programming with object-oriented and declarative languages
• Strong experience in blockchain (Ethereum or Canton, Canton preferred)
• Strong experience writing smart contracts in Solidity or DAML (DAML preferred)
• Experience in Scala, Clojure, or Elm
• Basic working knowledge of Canton concepts such as participants, domains, and onboarding/party setup
• Expertise in writing end-to-end test coverage for DAML contracts
• Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and message queuing systems
• Skills in writing end-to-end integration with external signatures
• Experience troubleshooting DAML applications
• Proven ability to scale up on new technologies
• Experience developing REST services
• Highly experienced with back-end programming languages such as Node.js
• Experience developing web-based solutions using HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks like Angular.js or React
• Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
• Experience using modern software configuration management tools in an automated build environment such as Git and Azure DevOps
• Azure or AWS knowledge required
• Agile development experience
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to lead a team
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
