
As a Derivatives Quantitative Researcher on Jump Trading's trading team, you apply mathematics, statistics, and machine learning to identify patterns and predict market signals in the global derivatives space. You work alongside traders, quantitative researchers, engineers, and business teams to develop profitable predictive trading models and push the boundaries of quantitative research.
What you'll do
- Apply math, statistics, and machine learning techniques to identify patterns and predict market signals in global derivatives
- Develop quantitative-driven strategies leveraging statistical analysis and data mining
- Collaborate with other scientists, traders, hardware and software developers, and market-facing business teams to refine and express new ideas
What you bring
- Proven experience developing successful quantitative-driven strategies
- Strong market expertise in one of the following: equity options, ADRs, ETFs, or index products
- Demonstrable experience developing or working on fair value models
- Deep understanding of derivatives market complexity, product structure, and market mechanisms
- Solid development skills in Python and/or C++
- A Master's or PhD degree in applied mathematics, statistics, operations research, machine learning, physics, or a related science from a top-tier university
- Reliable and predictable availability
