DevOps Team Leader

As a DevOps Team Leader at Fireblocks, you lead a 15-person DevOps engineering group responsible for core infrastructure and enablement across the organization. You manage Kubernetes clusters, Helm charts, deployment pipelines, and more, while guiding your team to deliver new capabilities and maintain industry-leading standards for a platform trusted by major financial institutions, banks, and Web3 companies worldwide.

What you'll do

• Manage a team of DevOps engineers, both technically and professionally
• Manage the team's projects and tasks to bring new capabilities and improvements
• Take a major role in designing, building, and operationally managing a highly secure and scalable platform
• Promote, document, and implement systems infrastructure best practices across the organization
• Mentor team members and actively work to improve their professional skills
• Provide self-service capabilities to empower the software engineering teams
• Define and prioritize tasks aimed at reducing or eliminating repetitive and manual work
• Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to improve system health and performance
• Play a strategic role in designing infrastructure to ensure the highest security levels and respond swiftly to emerging vulnerabilities and threats
• Remain actively hands-on with projects and tasks

What you bring

• At least 4 years of experience leading a DevOps team
• At least 5 years of DevOps experience in a fast-paced, fast-evolving SaaS environment
• At least 5 years of experience with cloud providers, AWS or Azure
• At least 10 years in high-tech companies in DevOps roles or similar positions such as software engineer, system administrator, or automation engineer
• Proficiency in Linux, Command Line, Git, and CI
• Experience with automation, configuration, and application performance management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Experience with GitOps methodology and supporting tools
• Experience with GitLab Pipelines
• An AI-based mindset, including creation of agents and skills to reduce workload
• Strong system-level troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve high-level scalability, performance, and complex problems
• Strong communication skills in a highly collaborative environment

Nice to have

• A BSC in Computer Science or related technical certificate
• A background in software development
• FinOps experience
