Digital Assets Business Specialist - Asset Management

As a Digital Assets Business Specialist in Asset Management at BBVA, you join the global Digital Assets team responsible for designing and executing tokenized money, tokenized asset, and cryptocurrency products. You will drive growth of the Digital Assets business across all geographies and segments, positioning it as a transactional product, investment solution, and market infrastructure offering within BBVA Asset Management, which manages over €240 billion across investment funds, pensions, discretionary portfolios, and other solutions.

What you'll do

• Participate in the design and execution of Digital Assets products with a focus on Asset Management
• Define end-to-end customer value propositions, including customer needs, product alternatives, pricing, and competitive positioning in close collaboration with Business and Technology teams in CIB and Commercial
• Coordinate cross-functional projects across geographies and multidisciplinary teams including global areas, technology, legal, design, operations, marketing, risk, and compliance
• Ensure projects meet milestones, timelines, and budgets while delivering quality outcomes aligned with strategic objectives
• Act as the voice of the customer by analysing feedback, identifying pain points, and uncovering opportunities
• Track impact metrics with focus on revenue, adoption, customer penetration, and operational efficiency
• Own the digital assets strategy for the Asset Management unit, developing primarily real asset tokenization, crypto assets, and investment solutions for the digital ecosystem
• Connect with the digital assets system (tokenization platforms, markets, fintechs, etc.) to explore collaborative opportunities
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and thought leadership on digital assets within the business unit

What you bring

• At least 5 years of experience in the financial services sector
• 5 years of experience in Asset Management with deep knowledge of emerging technologies, specifically Blockchain, Digital Assets, Tokenization, and Crypto
• A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent
• Understanding of the digital assets ecosystem
• An analytical profile with strategic planning capability
• Demonstrated ability to execute projects, coordinate teams, communicate effectively, present to stakeholders, and negotiate
• Proven capacity to manage emerging trends and foster innovation
• Ability to structure ideas and communicate across functions and countries
• Advanced English proficiency (minimum C1 level)
• Enthusiasm for learning and passion for driving business growth
• Core strengths in empathy, ethics, innovation, customer focus, and critical thinking
