As Director of Technical Program Management at BitGo, you build the TPM function from scratch to own delivery integrity across the product portfolio serving exchanges, banks, fintechs, asset managers, protocols, corporates, and governments. You join a public company where missed delivery on regulated commitments carries audit, examiner, and investor consequences. This is an execution-risk role, not a process-improvement one.

What you'll do

  • Own timely and predictable delivery of product across the portfolio: set dates that mean something, run cross-team and cross-entity programs (acquisition integrations, legal-entity restructurings, partner and vendor migrations) end-to-end, and escalate early the moment a plan and a commitment diverge.
  • Build trust between product and regulatory, compliance, legal, finance, and audit partners by running programs where product delivery and control exposure intersect: new-product regulatory review pipelines with fixed examiner deadlines, remediation of audit findings that require product builds, and delivery against commitments made to regulators.
  • Maintain the single source of truth for resource allocation, program sequencing, and portfolio risk: surface contradictions such as committed goals with unstaffed critical-path dependencies, duplicate ownership, or cross-team dependencies that live in nobody's plan before they surface as quarter-end misses, and build a credible picture of keep-the-lights-on load so real capacity is known.
  • Run the execution-review cadence for the product organization: initiative status that is current and honest, launch readiness that commercial can sell against, and a working blocker-escalation path with SLAs.
  • Build out the TPM team within your first year, starting hands-on running the highest-exposure programs yourself, then hiring 1-2 TPMs against proven need and setting the bar for program management as outcome-accountable, technically fluent, and light-touch on teams already delivering.

What you bring

  • 8+ years in technical program management with 3+ years leading TPM teams or functions, ideally including founding one.
  • Delivery leadership in a regulated financial environment: you have run programs with examiner deadlines, audit findings, SOX-adjacent controls, or material-weakness remediation, and you understand how public-company audit exposure changes program management.
  • Technical credibility with platform engineering: you can read an architecture discussion, pressure-test an estimate, and hold your own on sequencing conversations with senior engineers.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one of: M&A integration, legal-entity restructuring, or large multi-party partner migrations.
  • Ability to operate through influence in organizations where authority is split across reporting lines and get things done with people who do not report to you.
  • A writing-first operating style where your default artifacts are documents and dependency maps, not status meetings.

Nice to have

  • Crypto and digital-asset domain experience.

What we offer

  • Base salary of $260,000-$280,000 USD, depending on leveling
  • Equity and annual performance bonus
  • 100% company-paid health insurance for employee, partner, and dependents
  • Up to 4% 401k company match
  • Paid parental leave and paid vacation
  • Free custom lunches, dinners, and snacks
  • Computer equipment and workplace furniture to suit your needs
