Engineering Manager - Ecosystem

As an Engineering Manager in BitGo's Ecosystem team, you will grow BitGo's ecosystem by driving support and integrations for new blockchains to serve institutional clients. You'll manage a team that requires close alignment with counterparts in the US, and hands-on coding may be necessary to build your knowledge of both BitGo and blockchain components. In the long term, you are expected to stay closely involved technically in your team's work.

What you'll do

• Be accountable for growing BitGo's ecosystem by driving support and integrations for new blockchains to serve institutional clients
• Collaborate with Product, Trust, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to set the product and technical vision and execute against it
• Provide regular coaching to your team and the broader engineering department
• Take direct responsibility for quality and delivery of your team's work
• Manage end-to-end availability and performance of critical services
• Encourage best practices in engineering design and usability, leading by example
• Facilitate thorough documentation and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives
• Work closely with company leadership to identify upcoming opportunities and risks
• Actively foster an engineering-wide culture that embodies BitGo's values of open communication, collaboration, accountability, craftsmanship, and a client-first approach
• Coordinate with stakeholders in the US and other global locations, which may involve calls in PST/EST timezone to keep in sync with your geographically distributed team

What you bring

• 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with 3+ years in a managerial role
• Experience in crypto, professional or personal, or an interest in the space
• Proven success onboarding into a new organization as a manager
• A track record of sourcing and hiring top engineering talent, including managerial talent
• Demonstrated success leading engineering-wide initiatives
• A history of collaborating with product teams to develop product roadmaps
• Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly working with business stakeholders
• An engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
