Engineering Manager, International

As an Engineering Manager at Robinhood, you will lead a team of software developers to drive the company's most important international launch initiatives. You will shape the technical strategy and execution required to launch crypto and other financial products in new regions, while building the reusable systems that make future launches faster, safer, and more scalable. The International engineering team's mission is to expand Robinhood's products globally and scale the platform to support millions of new customers in diverse markets.

What you'll do

• Lead and support your team of developers, providing clear goals, regular feedback, and structured growth plans
• Define technical direction and prioritize work with product managers and partner teams to scale international products and systems
• Ensure backend services and localized products are designed for high availability, performance, and security
• Manage hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for engineers on your team
• Coordinate with product, design, and other engineering leads to deliver critical initiatives on schedule and meet defined business metrics

What you bring

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams
• Proven experience leading collaborative teams across product, design, and engineering to ship complex products, including end-to-end management from concept to launch and ensuring high-quality, reliable user experiences post-deployment
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance
• Experience delivering complex technical projects from initial planning through execution and deployment
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business partners to explain technical decisions and trade-offs
• Experience supporting team development through regular coaching, mentoring, and feedback

• Base pay range for New York, NY: $230,000-$270,000 USD (compensation varies by location and zone)
