Field Policy Director

As a Field Policy Director at CryptoMize, you direct the policy work for electoral and governance campaigns across the agency's political portfolio. This is a full-time, permanent leadership position based at the New Delhi HQ, where research, field reality and campaign strategy meet. You own the document that comes out of that intersection, and report directly to candidates on policy positions, trade-offs and defensibility.

What you'll do

• Direct the policy work for campaign engagements, setting the positions, promises and programs candidates carry into the field
• Translate research findings into policy commitments, converting what the data cell knows about constituencies into what campaigns actually promise
• Run the field-to-policy loop, reshaping campaign messaging within days based on what field teams and surveys hear on the ground
• Work with speech and manifesto cells to ensure every pledge is consistent, costed where required, and defensible under opponent attack
• Direct policy analysts attached to your campaigns and set the research questions they pursue
• Brief candidates directly on the policy picture, trade-offs and red lines in language they can deliver on stage
• Coordinate with governance engagements to translate policy commitments into implementation programs after elections are won
• Maintain policy integrity upstream by reviewing evidence, checking costs and testing positions for durability before they are public
• Build institutional capability by training policy analysts, keeping research questions honest, and embedding lessons from each campaign into the next

What you bring

• Working knowledge of policy-making in political contexts
• Ability to direct research, set the right questions and judge evidence quality
• Outstanding writing skills and the ability to report research findings clearly
• Political judgment about what plays, what costs and what cannot be walked back
• Understanding of campaign tempo and the speed at which policy must ship
• Skill in converting ground intelligence from field teams into concrete positions
• Experience directing policy analysts and researchers
• Craft in briefing candidates and converting complex policy into stage-ready language
• Ability to coordinate across multiple teams including manifesto, speech and data cells
• Composure under opposition attack on policy commitments
• Discretion with campaign strategy
