Financial Crime Crypto/Digital Assets Manager with English - EY GDS Spain - On site

As a Financial Crime Crypto/Digital Assets Manager at EY GDS Spain, you'll support clients in the Financial Crime area, working on international projects with the newest technologies and approaches. Based in our Malaga office, you'll extend your knowledge and experience while taking part in digital transformation initiatives across financial risk and compliance.

What you'll do

• Conduct blockchain analysis of transactions and wallet activity to identify suspicious patterns, trace fund flows, and support financial crime investigations across digital asset networks.
• Review and analyze cryptocurrency transactions to detect unusual activity, assess financial crime risks, and ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations, including crypto wallet investigations and cross-chain transaction tracing.
• Assess Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) compliance requirements and support clients in meeting regulatory obligations.
• Perform DeFi (Decentralized Finance) risk assessment and identify associated financial crime exposures.
• Provide functional support for the design and development of AML technological tools.
• Communicate findings and analysis to clients and provide team reporting on financial crime matters.
• Conduct quality checks of team work and deliverables.
• Report key findings and recommendations to senior management.

What you bring

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5-9 years of experience in prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism within the financial sector, specifically in L2 investigations, SAR reporting, and complex investigations.
• Experience in Fintech, VASP, or gaming/betting companies.
• Experience and knowledge in digital assets and the crypto environment.
• C1-level English proficiency.
• Availability to work on-site at the Malaga office.
• Teamwork, communication, and innovation skills with autonomy, critical thinking, strong analytical capacity, proactivity, and high learning capacity.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge of blockchain analysis tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, or Elliptic.
• Experience working with US market customers.
• Contribution experience at Big4 consulting firms or similar companies.
