FIU Compliance Associate

As a FIU Compliance Associate at Kraken, you support the compliance team in financial investigations and regulatory reporting for one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms, trusted by over 10 million individuals and institutions. You work with advanced compliance tools to monitor transactions, identify risks, and maintain operational efficiency across spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services.

What you'll do

• Conduct financial investigations and write SARs and STRs
• Monitor transaction volumes and proactively adjust to volume fluctuations to maintain operational efficiency and compliance
• Utilize advanced tools and spreadsheet functions for data analysis
• Balance multiple priorities, including individual production efforts and ad hoc compliance projects

What you bring

• 2+ years of anti-financial crime experience with a crypto background
• Understanding of compliance operational functions and processes
• Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with financial crimes
• Familiarity with Google Suite applications, with emphasis on Google Sheets and Google Docs or similar programs
• Familiarity and comfort using AI and technology for automation
• Familiarity with FIU-specific tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, and TRM
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice to have

• Financial crime related certifications such as CAMS, ICA, CRCM, or CRC
• Database and programming skills such as SQL and Python
