Fraud Operations Intern (Summer 2027)

As a Fraud Operations Intern at Robinhood, you conduct end-to-end fraud investigations of accounts with suspected fraud concerns, with the goal of protecting customers and minimizing fraud exposure to the firm. You join the Fraud Investigation team, which ensures Robinhood customers experience swift identification and resolution of fraud-related issues. This role is based in the Denver, CO office with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you'll do

• Review and investigate suspected fraudulent alerts, both proactive and reactive, using multiple internal and external tools
• Use data analysis techniques, critical thinking, and pattern detection to identify emerging fraud trends and detection methodologies
• Recognize and actively communicate emerging fraud trends and findings to relevant stakeholders
• Document the rationale and determination for each alert and submit referrals to other Robinhood teams where necessary
• Occasionally communicate with customers regarding information on their accounts related to an active fraud investigation

What you bring

• Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program in Business, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Psychology, or a related field with an expected graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
• Interest in the end-to-end fraud investigation process and various fraud typologies, including Account Takeovers, Identity Theft, and Money Movement Fraud
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently make sound decisions on potentially fraudulent cases
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as product, engineering, legal, compliance, or financial crimes
