German Translator

As a German Translator at CryptoMize, you convert intelligence dossiers, political campaign material, reputation reports, and confidential client correspondence between German and English. You join the linguistics cell that serves all five intelligence domains, working from our New Delhi HQ in a full-time, permanent role with immediate joining. Your work preserves meaning, register, and nuance under NDA-grade confidentiality in support of engagements across the DACH region and our 18-country footprint.

What you'll do

• Hold sign-off authority on German-English material across the DACH book, including contracts, compliance summaries, and correspondence carrying your review signature
• Rule on compound renderings at clause level, pinning bound compounds and qualifier order once and applying them consistently for the engagement's duration
• Set and maintain the Siezen standard for institutional German, protecting it against informal drift in modern usage
• Govern the German termbase as a single authority, documenting rulings and preventing them from being relitigated across the desk
• Produce decision-grade German summaries for stakeholders who work and decide in German
• Review desk output for German failure modes: anglicisms, comma-rule violations, and register breaks, intercepting them before clients see them
• Lead DACH press-cycle passes when engagements touch German media, serving as the language lead on what coverage means
• Maintain German style authority so the desk produces prose that reads like one disciplined hand
• Mentor translator interns attached to your engagements and document their work for conversion decisions
• Translate and review material across the full engagement lifecycle, applying professional translation technique that preserves register and intent under legal review

What you bring

• Near-native German at sign-off authority
• Proficiency in compound and qualifier ruling at clause level
• Demonstrated command of Siezen register governance and formal institutional German
• Ability to build and maintain a termbase with documented rulings
• Skill in producing decision-grade summary material
• Proven ability to intercept German failure modes including anglicisms, comma-rule violations, and register breaks
• Experience with German-language media monitoring and DACH press cycles
• Contract-grade precision under legal review
• NDA-grade discretion when handling compliance material and confidential correspondence
• Proficiency with SDL Trados Studio (CAT environment), memoQ translation memory and terminology, TermBase glossary management, and Xbench-class QA tooling
